Nuts and Bolts of Data Processing in School Counseling
Participants will learn the basic and intermediate -- yet powerful --
features of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to deal with data and
accountability in school counseling.
Sample Objectives:
- import data into Excel
- export data to other file formats when needed
- insert, delete, and format columns, rows, or cells
- insert common formulas such as percent, percent change, sum, mean,
median, mode, and others
- perform subtotals, especially among student demographic data
- create appropriate charts
- copy charts to other applications such as multimedia and word
processing for the purpose of reporting
- sort data
- filter data
