Finally, the problems with being bullied are being addressed - but we need more adults active in preventing this or protecting children from this. School environments are plagued with this disease and no body monitors or supervises school grounds appropriately. I think too that "snitching" or "ratting" has such negative conotations EVEN FOR ADULTS (TEACHERS), that children CAN'T speak up about it. It seems that most adults don't take more RESPONSIBILITY with this problem. Are we a society in denial? Keep doing a good work on exposing this problem! Carmen
Dr. Russell A. Sabella is Professor of counseling in the College of Education, Florida Gulf Coast University. He is also author of the popular SchoolCounselor.com: A Friendly and Practical Guide to the World Wide Web (2nd edition; Educational Media; 2003) and well-known for his Technology Boot Camp for Counselor workshops conducted throughout the country.
Dr. Sabella is past President (2003-2004) of the American School Counselor Association.
